One Classic Outfit 5 Ways: Outfit 8
We are a few days into the Fall Get Up and Get Stunning Challenge, and we are having such a great time! If you haven’t joined us in the Facebook group, I hope you will. It’s ok to read and follow along if you don’t feel comfortable participating. It’s such an inspiring group of women! You will learn so much from the other Stunners there.
Today I’m restyling outfit #8 from the challenge five different ways to show you how you might want to switch it up to match your Classic Style Twist. As a bonus, I rounded up a bunch more red bag options, most of them under $100! And I found more navy bootie options as well!
Outfit number 8 is on the calendar for Saturday, so I hope this gets your creative juices flowing for this and other outfits. If I didn’t add links to an item, it’s because they are already linked in the guide.
If Edgy Classic style is perfect for you, the moto jacket will make a great substitution. That alone might be enough for you. The exposed zipper on the boots, the chain detail on the purse strap, and the chain link style earrings are other great options to add some edge to your look. I’m always a fan of destroyed jeans to bring a cool vibe to my outfit, but not everyone loves that. You could choose all of these options or just one, depending on how much edge you need that day.
Sporty Classic is so easy to do in the fall because layers are back on the menu! A sleek and shiny vest will add plenty of sportiness to your outfit, and you can also layer it under a utility jacket for added warmth and sport-tastic vibes. The boots are waterproof with a sturdy, chunky sole, but sleek and shiny in a Chelsea boot style to maintain that classic side. The simple boomerang necklace and huggie earrings won’t get in your way, but still add polish to your outfit. The crossbody bag is hands-free and functional, but the color and the chain detail make it stylish.
Bring your Cute Classic vibe in with heart hoop earrings. If the hearts are too cutesy for you, a classic hoop earring would be perfect. They can be as big and substantial as you like, but you probably won’t love something heavy. The structured bows on the bag add a small dose of fun. The stud detail on the boots are cute instead of edgy because they are small, flat, and look like polkadots or stars in the night sky. Swapping out the jacket for a cardigan makes the outfit a little less serious, structured, and utilitarian.
Your Soft Classic style might feel overwhelmed with too much color. If the slouchy-but-structured red bag is too much color for you, use the navy bag instead. The cardigan coat is soft and cozy with a shawl collar, but has a structured, straight shape that won’t make you feel like you are drowning. The layer of navy will also cut down on the impact of the large, bold red plaid. The suede booties tie into the softness of the cardi, and the twisted hoop earrings are just big enough to add a little shine by your face without being too in your face.
Nothing will bring an instant dose of classic like a trench coat. Look for a classic shape, length and style. You may even prefer a single-breasted version and a slight sheen. For many Minimal Classics, it’s one of the must-have outerwear options. It makes every outfit chic. The structured, shiny tote bag, earrings and necklace reflect your structured life. If the bag is too much color, feel free to swap out for the navy one, but the trench will dramatically reduce the amount of color in your outfit, so you may enjoy the additional color. You will probably prefer a sleek leather bootie with a sheen rather than a textured, pebbled, or suede bootie (this one has a lower heel). You can dress up the look even more by tucking your shirt in.
Which one of these outfits makes your heart dance? Are you going to try any new details in your outfit on Saturday?
